Sakarya University is situated in Sakarya, Turkey. Its foundation was laid as Sakarya Engineering and Architecture in 1970. Later on in 1971, it was renamed as Sakarya State Engineering and Architecture Academy. The university opened Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programs in 1980. The programs were executed by İTÜ (İstanbul Technical University) Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences.

Via the Sakarya University, it is easy to reach any of the city’s points with the help of buses and local trains. Public buses and other minibus services have made it possible for students to approach the university’s main campus and other units easily.

Catering Services at Sakarya University

The main campus has been managing all the catering services, under the supervision of the Office of Cafeterias and Canteens. Academic staff, managerial staff and students are given quality food from one kitchen. The university is proud to be serving the meal as per ISO 9000-9002 standards. The food here is nutritious, and the dining halls have capacity of 5000-6000 people.

Students Clubs at Sakarya University

The Sakarya University has 31 student clubs. These are of interests like computers, chess, theater, tourism and others. the students are always welcomed to join any of these clubs so that they can improve themselves intellectually and socially.

Sports Activities at Sakarya University

The Sakarya University has two types of sports activities. First of them is the Rectorate Cup Competition, and secondly games are organized in collaboration with other Turkish and European institutions. The university has teams for different games, and aim to be at the top in the sport areas. It has a football pitch, a tennis court and a swimming pool.
